Welcome to Queensway!

Founded in 2022 in Birkenhead, Merseyside, Queensway is a community platforming female, non-binary and LGBTQIA+ electronic music artists. Our aim is to push for equality in the wider music industry, and we achieve this in two ways:

Performance opportunities

Firstly, we collaborate with arts establishments, venues and festival, which enables us to offer paid opportunities to the artists on our diverse roster.

DJ workshops and training

 

We also deliver DJ workshops with partners such as Sound City and The Open Door Charity. Usually tailored towards young people, these workshops often form part of school or college career days.

In March 2024, we completed our first in-house workshop series, working with 13 new DJs over the course of 12 weeks. This project was funded by The National Lottery Community fund, and ran from Future Yard CIC in Birkenhead!
